Also, the split screen of session/arrangement view is nice. And I like the colors of Bitwig a lot - it makes me more excited about using it as opposed to drab Ableton colors. Yeah I have more modulators than I know what to do with Max for Live but there’s something more inviting about having them right there in a Bitwig device ready to go with one click. I’ve been with Ableton for a long time but have been playing around with the Bitwig demo the last month. (A little bit of plocking possible with apc 40mk2 I saw) Someone here recomended launchpad, just the display on push would be nice… Still couldnt decide if and what controller or stay with keyboard keys and bassstation. Someone is using push 2 with bitwig and moss script? Is there now some plocking in sequencer modes possible and is it working ok? Overbridge runs on that old hp, just i dont use it, just experimenting a bit with most obscure vsts possible and grid or quick drumming jams with laptop keys.Įdit: oh maybe another question i couldnt find an answer.

Nice to see noone mentions bad mac performance, so i hope it is improved also for more serious users than me ( mostly was a problem with dedicated gfx card) That was a known issue, but also known it improved a bit on macbook. ( many people seem to experiment in bitwig and finish somewhere else it seems)Ģ years ago i was surprised how well bitwig ran on a old hp ( then even without ssd), and how bad on a 2018 macbook pro. So my question: is drag and drop to audacity and click normalize a solution for gainstaging dummies, or you recomend something else?Īlmost hypothetical for me, i rarely finish something, so bitwig is probably wrong for me, a bit more experimental than get stuff done. „ Poor guy was asking for normalization on export and got 7 pages of gainstaging discussion“ I had to laugh about an answer in kvr bitwig forum where someone mentioned this. Normalization in export is one of the smaller and bigger things missing in bitwig. Since audacity was mentioned, excuse me to ask a mixing dummy question.
